NO.1 S7 - Samsung Galaxy S5 Clone Benchmark info & Review

As you may know already NO.1 S7 is a Samsung Galaxy S5 clone, so I was very curious about it and how good is this phone so I bought it. After some time of using I am happy to share my thoughts about this clone.
So if you buy this smartphone you will get the same accessories as on most Chinese phones, you will get USB cable, charger and screen protector.

As far for the design it is more or less the same as Samsung S5, it does not have any Samsung logos, all ports and buttons are on the same place as on original. The case is completely made of plastic and the back cover has the same effect like S5. Overall the build quality is pretty good.

NO.1 S7 has the screen with size of 5.1 inch, the screen has HD resolution or to be precise 1280×720 pixels. I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the screen because the screen has really natural colours, viewing angles are good and digitiser works as it should. Only the negative thing about display is lack of protection because it does not have gorilla glass or some other protection. So it is advisable to use screen protector.
NO.1 S7 is mid range smartphone with decent hardware, it has MT6582 quad core CPU at speed 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU for graphics. So from this you can see that this phone has the same hardware as many other Chinese devices in this price range. You don't need to worry because for everyday use like going to the Internet, listen to the music or even playing games it will be enough. Of course for some high demand apps alone think will be slow or for example game will not work as it should. But all games I have tried worked perfectly normal, for example I played GTA San Andreas, Subway Surf and several other games. For storage there is 16 GB of memory and there is available approximately 13 GB, you can also expand your storage microSD card up to 64 GB.
S7 comes with Android 4.2.2 out of box, on this blog they say that user interface looks very similar to Samsungs UI. It has very similar icons, some widgets and other cool stuff. Working in user interface is completely fluid, all apps opens fast. And there is also Wi-Fi update possibility of course if NO.1 makes a new update.

When comes to the camera I need to say that camera is not a strong side of the phone. I have tested the camera in every possible way and unfortunately photos are poor quality. Because sometimes the colours are not right and sometimes the photo is not completely sharp. But taking the whole picture in this price range most phones has similar quality.

photo examples:

macro or from very close:
As cool functions I want to say a few words about heart rate monitor. it is really cool function because you can monitor your heart rate. It is very simple, all you need to do is put your finger on the scanner and after that you can start app. After you start the app you'll need to click and after approximately 10 seconds it will tell you your heart rate result.

NO.1 S7 has 2800mAh battery, also after some time of using I can say that the battery it can last maximum one day, it should last more, right ?

As conclusion I can say that NO.1 S7 for this price range is good phone with many good features like decent hardware, really good screen, really cool functions like heart rate monitor and very good build quality. But there are also some negative things like phones main camera and weak battery. But overall this is low budget smart phone and we cant complain too much about it. So, if someone wants to have smartphone with Samsung S5 look with mid-range hardware, it can buy it here and the price is approximately $160.

Обзор No.1 S7 - копия Samsung Galaxy S5

001mobilephone.com.

Samsung Galaxy S5.

NO.1 S7 Samsung Galaxy S5 clone review

NO.1 S7 is a smartphone or to be precise is a clone of popular device Samsung Galaxy S5. NO.1 is a Chinese company which has most the models of popular devices. They decided to produce clones or copies from very popular phones. So let’s see how NO.1 S7 is really good smart phone in our review.

I noticed that lately many companies gives a less accessories than before. When I received NO.1 S7, I checked the box and except the phone I got USB charger, USB cable, screen protector and of course short user manual. So you can see this is quiet normal these days because before you could also get headphones or something else.

Design
As I said in beginning NO.1 S7 is a clone of Samsung Galaxy S5, so you can understand how approximately it will look. Of course there are small changes in design like there are no Samsung logos. They have own logos for example. The phone is made completely of plastic. You can choose from white or black color, where both models have silver edges. On the top of device there is located headphones slot and on the bottom there is located USB port but completely different from I have seen before. It is the same port as on Samsung Galaxy S5, and there is plastic cover for USB Micro slot also as on S5. So you can see they took care of every detail. Phone dimensions are 142×72.5×8.1mm and approximately weight with battery is 145g.
Display
S7 has 5.1 inch display with HD resolution or 1280×720 pixels screen. The screen is really gorgeous, the colors are really natural. The brightness is enough strong. And you can also see here that this smartphone or a clone has the same size screen. It has no screen protection so it is advisable to use screen protector. It has also good viewing angle thanks to IPS technology. The screen is just absolutely beautiful.
Performance
Unfortunately NO.1 S7 is not strong as Samsung Galaxy S5, it has weaker hardware. It is mid range phone. It has 1 GB of RAM, MediaTek MT6582 chipset at speed 1.3 GHz. It is quad core CPU, and for graphics there is Adreno 330 GPU. For everyday use it will be enough but for some high demand apps you will need stronger phone. All games which I played worked quite good as I will show you later. I also made several benchmark tests and the results are expected for this kind of device. It has 16 GB of internal memory and there is about 14 GB is free for storage. You can also expand your internal memory with maximum of 64 GB Micro sd card.

Benchmarks results
Antutu: 16834
AnTuTu Benchmark v5.0 Beta1: 15658
AnTuTu 3D Rating Benchmark: 2419
Software
NO.1 S7 runs Android 4.2.2, the first thing you will see that it has the same wallpaper as on S5. The menu, icons and other stuff is the same or very similar. Everything works fluidly, and there is also possibility of Wi-Fi update.
Connectivity, Heart rate monitor sensor
NO.1 S7 is a single sim smartphone. For 3G connection it supports 850/2100MHz frequencie. This is standard for Chinese device. All functions like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth works as it should but GPS works really poor. It very difficult catch a few satellites. It has also heart rate monitor sensor which is located to the camera and it has also installed app for this purpose. With this function you can measure heart rate. It is really cool function.

NO.1 S7 Pro Review – MT6582 720p 1GB/16GB

NO.1 S7 Pro review specifications
The NO.1 S7 Pro is an MT6582 SoC mobile with 1GB of RAM and 16GB storage. The display is 5.0″@720p giving it a ppi of 293. The phone is single-SIM, has quad-band GSM and 850/2100 WCDMA 3G.

NO.1 S7 Pro review display LCD
The screen on the NO.1 S7 Pro can be classified as very good. There is no light bleed around the edges or in the corners as is the case with some mobiles. From extreme angles looking at the bottom of the display will show a line of light where the backlight resides, but it’s not visible when looking at the phone from normal angles.

It’s an IPS display and the color and contrast remain true from all angles. The phone’s auto-brightness worked fine and in sunlight the display can still easily be seen.

NO.1 S7 Pro review physical build quality
The build quality of the NO.1 S7 Pro can be classified as good. It’s physically a solid phone and doesn’t at all feel like something that will fall apart with a few months use.
This phone came from http://www.001mobilephone.com/. They have a good selection of budget / mid-range and top-range mobiles such as the One-Plus-One, TCL Idol-X, Lenovo S960, Huawei Honor 3X and Xiaomi Mi4.

NO.1 S7 Pro review OS and touchscreen
I found the NO.1 S7 Pro is very responsive, with no issues regarding ghost touches or lack of sensitivity. The MT6582 SoC offers plenty of juice to move 720p. Speed tap typing went off without a hitch.
There is a glaring negative regarding the touchscreen though. As it is out of the box, it’s only 1-point touch. On very rare occasions I could get it to sense 2, but not nearly reliable enough for real world use. What this means is that rotating maps won’t be possible, and expanding and zooming images can be a chore. Some apps allow you to tap twice and drag with one finger to expand and contract images, but not all.
It’s worth mentioning here however that I have not updated to the latest firmware available for the NO.1 S7 Pro. Doing so may fix this problem, but as it is out of the box, it’s functionally 1-point touch.

NO.1 S7 Pro review MIC, earpiece and external speaker
Phone conversations were no problem with the NO.1 S7 Pro. I could be heard without issue and the person on the other end said I sounded clear.
The external speaker is beyond adequate for hands-free calling as well as listening to video and music.

NO.1 S7 Pro review GPS
The GPS on the NO.1 S7 Pro can be classified as mediocre. Warm locks took less than 10 seconds and the first cold lock took less than a minute. The overall signal strength once locked was about average for MTK SoC. No glaring issues here, but the NO.1 S7 Pro isn’t going to impress with GPS signal strength either.
The image here is of the GPS after about 10 seconds under thick clouds. After about a minute, accuracy improved to 13ft.

NO.1 S7 Pro review WiFi
The NO.1 S7 WiFi can be classified as mediocre. From 200ft away from the router the phone could not stay connected, and I had to step within 150ft to get a stable internet connection. Phones such as the iNew V8, Doogee DG550, Doogee DG310 and THL 5000 all stayed stable at 200ft and some of these phones would likely be fine at 225ft+.

Samsung Galaxy S5 vs. S5 Clone (No.1 S7 quad core): Ultimate Battle

Today we are taking a look at one of the many clone devices available in the markets and distribution channels of China. The No.1 S7 smartphone is a clone of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and is available for less than a third of the S5’s asking price. Today we assess the No.1 S7 QUAD CORE and compare it directly to the original which inspired it.

NO.1 S7 VS GALAXY S5

Device Overview

Being a clone device, basically the No.1 S7 attempts to imitate the Samsung Galaxy S5 at every turn, but it does so using what are essentially cheaper and inferior components. The screen is lower resolution, the processor is probably half as powerful, the battery life is not even close and the cameras are of a very different caliber. This all sounds quite negative, but in fact the real beauty of this device is that it retails for a fraction of the price that the S5 commands.

NO.1 S7 VS GALAXY S5

Let’s also make one thing clear in terms of context; the Samsung Galaxy S5 can be regarded as the pinnacle of smartphone manufacturing right now in the world. It’s designed and built by the world’s bestselling and arguably most powerful Android phone vendor – how could a much smaller manufacturer in China possibly create a competing device? Then sell it for a third of the price? It would be impossible of course.

No.1 S7 (Samsung Galaxy S5 Clon):Specifications

• 5” 960 x 540 IPS LCD
• Mediatek MT6582 @1.3GHz Quad Core
• Mali 400 MP2 500GHz GPU
• 1GB LPDDR2
16GB
• GSM, 3G/WCDMA
• 13MP Rear Camera
• 5MP Front Camera
• WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
• GPS, Bluetooth 4.0
• 142 x 72.5 x 8.1mm
• 125 grams
• Android 4.2

Build Quality

In general design and build terms the hardware on the No.1 S7 is making every effort to be as similar to the Galaxy S5 as possible, and that means they have paid plenty of attention to detail. The device feels very similar to the Galaxy S5 in the hand, with almost identical weight and dimensions. The chassis appears to be made of very similar materials with the exception of the back panel which follows the S5 with a faux leather finish that doesn’t quite feel the same as the original – if anything it feels more like plastic, and slightly more slippery than Samsung’s slightly controversial and opinion dividing finish.

Opening up the device, we see near identical layouts in terms of positioning of the microSIM card slot, battery and microSD slot. The only real discernible difference is the total absence of water proofing on the No.1. If we turn our attention to the USB port on the bottom of the device we have the same flap with what appears to be a USB 3.0 slot (it isn’t, it’s USB 2.0), but in comparison to the Samsung it feels quite clumsy and even a little frail. Samsung clearly made the flap as robust as possible to ensure its capacity to repel water and dust. No such concerns from No.1 however which is in no way remotely IP67 certified.
GALAXY S5 VS NO.1 S7

The headphone jack, power button, volume rocker camera positioning and all other cosmetic details are identical to the Galaxy S5, although the home button does not support a fingerprint reader (but you knew that anyway, right?). It is actually credit to No.1 they have managed to really create something that looks and feels this close to the original in almost all respects.

Display

The display on the Samsung Galaxy S5 is one of the best on the market. It’s colors are bright and vibrant and the viewing angles on the Full HD AMOLED panel are exceptional. We really like the Samsung Galaxy S5 display, in fact you could say its one of its best features.
NO.1 S7 VS GALAXY S5

The No.1 S7 does not reach the dizzy heights of 1080p, instead you are getting a 960 x 540 resolution IPS LED screen that actually does a good job. At first glance there is not too much to complain about, only when you place it side by side with S5 do you see that it does not have anywhere near the brightness and pixel detail that the Samsung Galaxy S5 offers.

However, the screen for this price range is totally acceptable and performs reasonably well outdoors with decent color reproduction and viewing angles. One minor issue that we noticed is that the touch-screen was not quite as responsive as we would have liked, especially in multi-touch tasks like gaming (check the video for more on that). It just seemed inconsistent compared to high-end devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy S5 packs the most powerful mobile processor on the market at the moment with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC. The No1. S7 is kitted out with a MediaTek Quad-core MT6582, an ARM Cortex-A7 chip clocked at 1.3GHz integrating the Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor.

The MediaTek processor is adequate enough to keep the Android 4.2 OS running smoothly, and we noticed no issues at all with device navigation. Apps launched quickly and multi-tasking from app to app proved to be no problem at all. Benchmarks tell a different story however, with MediaTek proving to be way behind the Qualcomm offering. In AnTuTu we see scores of 17,123 points for the No.1 S7, while the Samsung Galaxy S5 weighs in with 35,144 points, more than doubling the score reached by its clone. This kind of scoring is consistent throughout our benchmark suite as you can see in the table below.
